One of my favorite movies ever is Princess Bride. What? Did that surprise you? I’m sure you’re thinking that manly man such as I, would have loved movies like Terminator, Predator, Ocean’s Eleven and 300. Eh…they’re good, but nothing compares to the humor, drama and excitement that is seen in Princess Bride.
My favorite character in the movie is a Sword wielding Spaniard named Inigo Montoya.
Why? Let’s just say I could relate to Inigo. No my father wasn’t killed by a 6 fingered man. But I could relate to him because he looks pretty awesome in tights, much like I do.
If you’ve read this far into this blog post, you’re asking...”what in the world does Inigo Montoya have to do with softball!?!” Great question! But I really don’t know either…
As I am required to make every post “work related,” I will now turn this post about Princess Bride around…you ready for the magic?
Ok here it goes…What if we replaced all that sword fighting in Princess Bride with BAT FIGHTING! Pssh hells yeah that’d be work related! Just imagine, the whole movie used the Combat Jason Kendrick Supremacy Reloaded Bats in every fight scene….I bet it would have won tons of awards….

When you tell your wife that you want to get a new slow pitch softball bat, does she do this…
Aye, I feel for you brother. But there are ways to get from that, to this. Just look at how Michelle is so proud of Obama.
Anyhow, here’s a few tips on how to convince your wife that you need to add another bat to your current collection of 12.
1. If you get to spend money, so should your wife. Typical rule is, if you budget $300 for a bat, then your wife should get $300 to spend on anything she wants. It’s sorta like bribery but in an underhanded way.
2. Smooth talk her. I’m sure before you two got married, you were quite the smooth talker. If you can’t recall some of the things you used to say, here’s a few that you can borrow from me.
-”wow hun, you look awesome!”
-”Have you been working out? Your (fill in the blank) looks great!
-”Did you lose 10lb or something? You look super skinny, you should eat something!” (this one ALWAYS works!)
3. If none of those have worked, sit your wife down and have a serious conversation. Tell her that softball makes you extremely happy. It allows you to relax, de-stress from a long day and it allows you to get some exercise. Here are some points to bring up on the benefits of softball.
-Meet new friends
-Wear cool uniforms (women dig a man in uniform)
-Helps you get stronger (swinging a 28oz bat is no easy task)
Once you tell her the benefits, then let her know that having a new bat will only enhance your softball experience and allow you to become a better player. In fact, this new slow pitch softball bat could even help you progress towards a career in professional softball. Yup, it could happen. Then next thing you know you have your own signature series bat that we’re selling right here on TAISports.com. Then when all that happens, you can turn to your wife and say…”Hunny thanks for letting me get that bat that I NEEDED, you’re the best!” See, it will all work out, just follow my suggestions and you’ll be fine.
If all else fails, just sell something you don’t use or need anymore, look in your closet or garage and get rid of those golf clubs, old exercise bike, weights, workout machine and etc. With the money you make from the sale, you can order your new bat!
