A new word for softball: Inconceivable

I borrowed this from one of my favorite movies, Princess Bride. One of the characters keeps using the word “Inconceivable.” and I thought it was fitting to use it in softball. If you’re not familiar with the movie, here’s a small clip that best shows the word being used.

So now you’re asking, “How do I use that in a sentence that I can say during a softball game?” Easy, here’s a few examples….

“Bro, did you hear about Flaco, you know, the one that only weights a a buck twenty five? Well, he hit the ball over the fence!”
-Rudy responds, “No way bro! That’s inconceivable!!!”

-Chad replies, “That right there is inconceivable!”

I prefer “Old Fashion Christmas Music.” It has some of the best classics like Burl Ives, Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams and the Carpenters.

The next step is to wear your favorite holiday sweater!

Then, get some hot chocolate…no not the band, but the beverage…

One of my favorite movies ever is Princess Bride. What? Did that surprise you? I’m sure you’re thinking that manly man such as I, would have loved movies like Terminator, Predator, Ocean’s Eleven and 300. Eh…they’re good, but nothing compares to the humor, drama and excitement that is seen in Princess Bride.

My favorite character in the movie is a Sword wielding Spaniard named Inigo Montoya.

Why? Let’s just say I could relate to Inigo. No my father wasn’t killed by a 6 fingered man. But I could relate to him because he looks pretty awesome in tights, much like I do.

If you’ve read this far into this blog post, you’re asking...”what in the world does Inigo Montoya have to do with softball!?!” Great question! But I really don’t know either…

As I am required to make every post “work related,” I will now turn this post about Princess Bride around…you ready for the magic?

Ok here it goes…What if we replaced all that sword fighting in Princess Bride with BAT FIGHTING! Pssh hells yeah that’d be work related! Just imagine, the whole movie used the Combat Jason Kendrick Supremacy Reloaded Bats in every fight scene….I bet it would have won tons of awards….
