You see, talking about Christmas now and being prepared for the holiday will alleviate so much stress. Just think about it! Shop now, relax later. If you do all your shopping now, then when December comes, you don’t have to rush to the malls and fight other shoppers for products. Instead, you could be sitting in front of your fireplace sipping some Cabernet Sauvignon while listening to Christmas music.

I understand that its hard to get into the Christmas shopping spirit in August/September. But here are a few things that can help you get in the mood. First of all you need some background music. I found an Internet Radio Station that plays Christmas music ALL YEAR LONG, isn’t that great! Go to Accuradio.com, you can choose which genre of Christmas music to listen to. I prefer “Old Fashion Christmas Music.” It has some of the best classics like Burl Ives, Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams and the Carpenters.

The next step is to wear your favorite holiday sweater!

Then, get some hot chocolate…no not the band, but the beverage…

Trying to make a video…

As you know, we love making videos at Elite. Whether its for bat testing or just for fun, the Elite OC staff aren’t shy to get in front of the camera. However, these next two videos were a bit different. Uncle Bill and I were trying to shoot some scenes and things just didn’t go as planned…

It’s Hump Day!

First of all, get your dirty minds out of the gutter! Hump Day, as defined by Urban Dictionary is:

Wednesday, the middle of the week, implying that you have to get “over the hump” before you can anticipate the weekend. The term was not originally intended to carry a second, more risque meaning.
Damn, I wish every day could be hump day!

So this day could mean a few things for all you folks out there. Hump Day could be a sigh of relief since you’re heading into the weekend. I’m sure you’ve got some big plans to play a few tournaments, drink beer, have a bbq or to simply sleep in. But for a few of you who are cops, nurses and other folks who work weekends, Hump Day could be such a drag. I used to work weekends and I hated Wednesdays because it reminded me that I had a shift on Saturday and Sunday and it would only make me bitter because I am missing out on all the fun a person could have on the weekends.

But I digress, Wednesday is an awesome day because it starts with a W! No other day in the week starts with a W.

Listen, I have an idea. Let’s make Wednesday the Word of the Day!!!! If anyone says to you the word of the day, then make sure you jump up and down screaming “Wednesday!!!! The Word of The Day!!!!!!Woohoo!!!!” Do it how they used to on Pee Wee’s Play House.

Jose “Mr Elite East Coast” Vega has been taking some lesson from Master Pang and can now kick softballs 350 feet. Jose said he doesn’t even need a bat anymore, all he has to do is round house the ball for a line drive or home run. In fact his Kicks are so powerful, look what he did to this poor ball…

Anyhow, make sure you come down to TAI Sports NC on June 5th, 2010, save some money, go home with tons of Elite gear. Prices like these won’t happen again!

Cowbell Hall of Fame Update

We’ve had over a dozen people, including myself try and hit the cowbell in the cage. Well NO ONE has hit it yet. There have been a few close calls, but that’s all they were, close.

Mr. Elite gave it a few tries and found that hitting the cowbell is mega frustrating. Brian Killeen of PSTS must have tried hitting the bell at least 20 times and still couldn’t get it to ring. He even tried throwing balls at it and missed.

Just to give you an idea on which bats we’ve been using for this. In the cage we have the Combat Virus Plague, Combat Derby Boy’s and once in a while you’ll see the new Combat JM26 Wood bat (100% composite).
