Elite Sports designs a number of uniforms that incorporate skulls within the theme. In fact about 50% of our custom elite full sub jerseys have some sort of skull somewhere in the design.
So I asked the question to Elite Designer, Leslie Trujillo who happens to be a huge skull fan, “Why the skulls?” She replied,”For some it could represent a symbol of rebellion but in some cultures, its even considered taboo. Skulls can even represent the “Dark Side” of things, and that’s the image some of these teams are trying to portray.”
Perhaps Leslie hit the nail on the head, or in this case, the skull. But after further discussion, I came to the conclusion that a skull symbolizes death. Perhaps the image of the skull on a jersey is a warning to the opposing team…”We’re going to KILL YOU!”
Whatever reason you chose to use skulls on your jersey, we’re not judging you. In fact, the more specific you are with what you want on your design, the easier it is for our team of designers to pump out a final sample for your approval.
